Search and Rescue continues in Catastropic Cagayan de Oro City

As of 6 in the morning, four days after the devastation of typhoon Sendong (December 20), the search and rescue is still on going in CdeO City.

Combined efforts of the local government, police and the armed forces are still finding dead people in the nearby areas of Cagayan de Oro City.


In the city of Jasaan, a nearby city, 19 dead people were found.

The rescuers also said to local officials that there are still some dead people floating in the sea.

In Balulang, a barangay devastated by the flood, people are still digging up some allegedly missing people.

There are now 917 confirmed dead people in the city of Cagayan de Oro.

Areas of Iligan City still has rising death tolls.

The people in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan still needs basic commodities like bottled water and ready-to-eat food. They need ready-to-eat food since their  pots and pans were also flushed out in the flood.

This will be the gloomiest Christmas Cagayan de Oro City will have.
