Ramona Bautista, one of the suspects in the murder of her brother
Ramgen Revilla, alleged that Ramgen’s personal assistant may have had a
hand in the crime.
Ramona said in a taped video message sent exclusively to ABS-CBN News
before she left the country.
Ramona said his younger brother saw a trail of blood in the kitchen
of their home in BF Parañaque, which led to the driver’s quarters.
Ronald Ancajas, together with 3 household help, were also inside the house when Ramgen was killed last October 28.
Ancajas earlier claimed that he was deep in sleep and did not hear any noise coming from Ramgen's bedroom.
“Nagising lang po ako sa katok ng pulis,” he said.
'No sibling rivalry'
Ramona said there is no sibling rivalry in their family, dispelling
rumors that the family's monthly allowance, allegedly reaching P1
million, could be the motive behind the killing.
aking kapatid. For the record, wala pong any sibling rivalry sa amin.
Iyon lang po,” she said.
pamilya.
They’re misleading the facts,” Ramona
said.
Ramona, 22, and her younger brother Ramon Joseph, 18, were tagged as suspects based on the investigation of Parañaque police.
However, Ramona maintained their innocence and called on the authorities to search for her brother’s killer.
Wala pong ginagawa si Joseph,” said Ramona.
Ramon Joseph, and 2 other suspects are now under police custody.
Ramona, meanwhile, left for Hong Kong Friday evening.
'Just visiting'
Ramona also said in her taped video message that she lives in a “different country” and was just visiting the Philippines.
She also admitted that she is married.
According to sources, Ramona’s husband lives in Turkey. However, Sen.
Ramon "Bong" Revilla's spokesperson Aldy Pagulayan declined to comment
on this Friday night.
“That would be for the Philippine National Police to investigate and
for us to find out as well. Pero I cannot give a categorical statement
The information that we
have right now is the same as what the media has. We are conducting our
own parallel investigation kasabay ng pag-iimbestiga ng kapulisan
natin,” said Pagulayan.
Sen. Bong Revilla said on Friday that the departure of Ramona was “a sign of guilt.”
However, Ramona's lawyer, Atty. Dennis Manzanal, said there was
nothing wrong with Ramona's decision to leave for Hong Kong after she
was tagged as a murder suspect.
"Flight from media, not from justice. No legal impediment to travel," he said in a text message to ABS-CBN News."
